HERE WE GO

Could there be a single soul in India without tasting a Mysore pak.

Ingredients:

Gram flour- 1 cup you use in your                                      kitchen.
Sugar -1 1/2 cup (by the same cup you                    used to measure the gram flour)
Water -3/4 cup
Ghee -1 1/2 cup

1.First measure all the ingredients given above and keep it organised by order.

2.Take a heavy bottom pan and add the sugar and water and mix. Then switch on your burner and place the pan on it.

3.Stir the syprup well till the sugar dissolves in the water.

Once the sugar dissolves well wait for a minimum of 5 -7 minutes to get your strong single string (thread like consistency testing it in between your slightly wet fingers).

4.In another pan heat the ghee and slightly melt it without smoking it.

5.Add the gram flour to the melted        ghee and smoothly mix without any    lumps.

Now constantly stiring with       another hand add this ghee mix to the single string consistency sugar syrup.

6.Now stir gently without too much effort patiently.Within 5 mins you would find the mixture thickening with little pores and bubbles.

7.At this stage switch off the stove and stir it just less than a minute.

Then transfer this mixture,a bit thick onto a ghee greased plate.

8.After a couple of minutes before it hardens make the markings for the slices using a sharp kitchen knife.

9.After 5 mins once the Mysore pak has cooled down a bit, your good to go.Slice and enjoy this easy melt in the mouth ghee filled Mysore pak.....An Indian delicacy........Meet you all soon with my memories of Mysore pak in my next blog .Be good and blessed. Please do share your views positively with me in the comment section.
